Hey what's up. I'm trying to decide between a DD5 and a Line 6 DL4. Which one is better??

Tough question. They are both great pedals, and while they are both delay pedals, they serve different purposes. With the Boss DD5, you'll need to get another pedal to tap in your time. This pedal does have a dotted 8th effect, which really comes in handy, and of course, there are a lot of cool little tricks you can do with it. I have one and use it for "special songs" that need a specific delay.
Now, the Line 6 DL4 is the mac-daddy pedal. This green monster is on almost every single pro pedal board I've seen. Everybody's got this pedal. It even has programmable settings so you can store some faves. It also has a button where you can tap in your tempo.
If it's between the two, I'd go with the Line 6 DL4. You'll have an easier time dialing in the effect you want.

If you come across a DD5, buy it! A lot of fun and incredible sounds. It's rare if you stumble across one. However, with the DL4s, you'll be able to find one in every GC and music page. Though, DL4s are sweet.
My suggestion: Both. ;)

Something that i find useful is having a digital delay (like the DL4 and the DD5, DD7, etc.) and an analog delay (like the MXR Carbon Copy or the Electro-Harmonix Memory Man) which give an amazing sounding delay. Having two delays is the best thing ever (besides having a volume pedal and an analog delay.)
