I'm looking into getting a good overdrive pedal. The main two I've been looking at are the Fulltone Full Drive 2 MOSFET, and the Fulltone OCD. Which of these two do you recommend? Or do you have a better one in mind?

My rule of thumb is to use a pedal that I know people have used in a professional setting. I've seen in Full Drive 2 in a few setups, so that would be my recommendation of the 2. Daniel Carson (Chris Tomlin's electric player) had this in his setup. Not sure if he still does.
If you want a pedal that's good for lighter distortion, try the TS9 TubeScreamer. I personally like to get a lot of distortion from the amp and just boost it a notch when I need to.
Either way, if you can get your hands on it to try it, then that's the best way to make your decision. Everyone has different tastes. Good luck!
